Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS)
This contract is for the Marine Corps Systems Commandís requirement for the Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT) instructor/operator/maintainer support. The requirement is for a base year, with two option years commencing on 01 August 2014, including a one month mobilization period. The SAVT effort requires TJ Inc to provide uninterrupted instructor/operator/maintainer support for the operation of five SAVT trainers (Camp Lejeune, NC; Camp Pendleton, CA; Twentynine Palms, CA; Kaneohe Bay, HI; Okinawa, Japan) with an option to provide instructor/operator/maintainer support for a sixth SAVT site (Yuma, AZ) and an option to provide a technology refresh of the same sites. The SAVT is a virtual simulator, which provides personnel with training scenarios that require the placement of tactical ordnance on selected targets using Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) procedures and observed fire procedures. These scenarios will allow for practical application of Naval Surface Fire Support (NSFS), artillery and mortar fire, neutralization, suppression, illumination, interdiction, and harassment fire missions.
